Sarracenia leucophylla var. leucophylla - Very Red, Perdido, Baldwin Co., Alabama

A stunning red S. leucophylla from Perdido, Alabama, this plant suffuses a deep red colour as the season progresses. Beautiful.

These plants are from a location that no longer exists, something I have seen myself. This further increases the importance of conservation through cultivation. Various factors are responsible, fire suppression, hydrological change, and most often agriculture and timber production.
