Sarracenia flava var rugelii - Milton, Santa Rosa Co., Florida

A nice stocky S. flava var rugelii to about 18 inches in height with a wide lid and great spouted mouth.

This plant is from a location that no longer exists, something I have seen myself. This further increases the importance of conservation through cultivation. Various factors are responsible, fire suppression, hydrological change, and most often agriculture and timber production.
