The epochal, and for me the book that opened my eyes to the world of carnivorous plants as a ten year old boy. Although I'd grown the plants for three years, this book made me realise this world is far greater than I realised, and I'm still learning after 45 years.
This was the book that brought the world of our plants to the UK, and is still as important today, although the amount of cultural information is small (remember, at this time there were only a tiny number of plants in cultivation), but the background, taxonomic information, and sheer enthusiasm of Adrian shines through.
An absolute must, and a book we should all read.
Original 1979 hardback copies in good condition for books over 45 years old.
