A giant form of var maxima, which I suspect has a rugelii somewhere back in its lineage as it can develop the faintest touch of red on either side of the throat.

We finally have some sales plants of this amazing giant S. flava var rugelii which is always admired when I use it on my display. It produces elegant, fluted pitchers up to 3 feet in height (though it takes 2-3 years to get to this size), with a good strong rugelii 'splotch' in the throat. Special and limited!

The stunning and rare variety atropurpurea, which goes a solid red in high light levels. Can be a challenge to colour solidly in grey Britain, but a stunning and choice plant. Small divisions, typically to 12 inches in height in their first year.

Without doubt the best example of var ornata I have to offer, this clone produces extremely heavy veining which as you can see from the photo becomes a deep suffusion by late summer. Very special!

Originally a self from Slacks' giant cultivar, this plant attains the same dimensions as the parent plant, but it has a copper top to the pitchers. And we thought it couldn't get any better!
